My mom was a woodworker when I was young. She was always in the shop making something. Her specialty was scrollsawing. She was really great at it. I was always doing things with her in the shop, whether it be sanding or painting (hehe) the things she cut out. So, I guess you could say it is in my genes. I have been doing woodworking since I was 12 years old, about 40 years now, and Love It. My moto is " I Wood Rather be in the Workshop".

My husband and youngest daughter have also caught the "bug". They are part of the family business. My favorite things to make are for children. I love the excitment they bring when they get new toys, so that is where my focus is.

The most fun to make are the crayon holders. My grandaughter loves them.
I am working on some new ideas for swings and will be letting everyone know about what I come up with in future posts. So keep checking back.
